Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a practicing Canadian Syrian specialist doctor with long history of volunteering in the fields of Medicine and Education helping unprivileged communities and refugees in various countries across the Globe.
A Syrian-Canadian pharmacist with 22 years of experience serving the Mississauga community.
Chaza directs her efforts towards women and youth in the community, holding weekly lectures for women focusing on topics ranging from daily Canadian life to multiculturalism to promoting peace and tolerance within the community. She also held bi-weekly youth gatherings in her home and helped plan youth-focused events and entertainment, making herself available to them for 24/7 counseling and support.
As a pharmacist, she has fought for providing seniors and the community at large vital information for coping with illnesses such as diabetes, osteoporosis, heart & stroke ailments, lung health and other conditions via education and awareness days and senior-focused clinics. Outside of her profession, she had been instrumental in developing and supporting senior support days for refugee and immigrant seniors, especially for senior newcomers who can be some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Born in Syria and living in Canada since 1989. Member of Ontario College of Pharmacists. Manager of a pharmacy in Mississauga, Ontario. Working with the Syrian and Arabic communities through the pharmacy. Training new pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
